Born from the meeting of emerging markets specialists and a management company focused on high-yield bond segments, Axiom Emerging Markets Corporate Bonds celebrates its first anniversary with nearly €100 million in assets under management.
The fund delivered a performance of 7.50% over one year (as of 30/05/2025, AC EUR(v) share class – LU2802104476), driven by an active management approach focused on hard-currency corporate bonds (USD, EUR) from emerging markets. It is managed by Romain Lacoste, an experienced portfolio manager, supported by a three-person research team led by Roland Vigne, with local presence in Mexico and Brazil.
Romain Lacoste, Portfolio Manager of Emerging Markets Corporate Bonds:
“The investment universe stands out for its geographical and sectoral depth, lower leverage compared to developed market high-yield issuers, solid fundamentals, and attractive risk premiums. It offers strong diversification potential for European portfolios.”
David Benamou, CIO and Managing Partner of Axiom Alternative Investments:
“We are pleased that Axiom Emerging Markets Corporate Bonds has delivered on its performance promises in its first year. This result reflects the successful integration of the emerging markets team into our investment approach, with many more developments to come.”
